Notes about the Tour
All attendees must be ticketed except infants in front packs. Please no food, strollers or pets. Refreshments are available at selected homes and pre-ordered boxed lunches will be available for pick up at Moraga Commons. Restrooms for tour participants are available at Moraga Commons. No restrooms will be available at the homes. Regretfully, the gardens are not wheelchair accessible.



The 2009 Through the Garden Gate Garden Tour will be held on Saturday, May 2nd. The tour, now in its sixth year, will again showcase six Lamorinda gardens and promises to feature an array of awe inspiring landscapes and garden features.

Child Life Services at UCSF Children's Hospital will receive all proceeds from this year's event. Specifically, the tour's funds will support the department's newly created music program. UCSF Children's Hospital is the first hospital in California to have a musician in-residence whose primary job is to help soothe children undergoing medical procedures and to provide music instruction and therapeutic entertainment for patients. For 2009, the Garden Tour committee has a goal to raise $35,000 to support this vital new program.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing way to spend time with friends on a Saturday afternoon or you are in the midst of planning your own garden transformation, we hope you will join us for what promises to be another fun and inspirational day in the tranquil and beautifully appointed gardens of Lamorinda.

Purchasing Tickets
Tickets for the event cost $30 per person ($25 is tax deductible) and will go on sale mid-March 2009 through Moraga Junior Women's Club members, local stores, and nurseries. More information regarding ticket sales will be posted here as the event nears. If you would like to be notified when tickets are on sale, please email gardentour@moragajuniors.org, and we will contact you when tickets are available.

Garden Nominations
Do you or a neighbor or friend have a garden that would wow savvy garden enthusiasts and novices alike? The garden tour committee is still accepting nominations for the 2009 tour. Nominations can be made by emailing gardentour@moragajuniors.org or by calling event tri-chair Kana Ryan at 377-0601.
